Interesting art on the page and the animation effects (the wild years ago, the devil, the african landscape, swarming locusts) is enhanced by the excellent performances of the protagonists of Max von Sydow (The Exorcist, Hour of the Wolf), Paul Henreida and James Earl Jones under the leadership of director John Boorman.
