Vampyr

One of the most remarkable films of world cinema the first half of the 20th. century (filmed 1932) is characterized by hypnotic, to unreal atmosphere, established already from the first shots. The dreamy character of the film, in it, Dreyer loosely based from a short story writer Sheridan Le Fanua Carmilla (about a quarter of a century older than Stokerův Dracula), is constructed as a specific visual style, and overlap and by braiding of plot lines.
