Jason Grant (Walter Koenig) and Ray Tanner (Bruce Campbell - the Forest spirit [1981], my Name is Bruce [2007]), two american astronauts, appear on the Moon traces of fourteen thousand years extinct culture - the alien spaceship. On the Ground will carry a special pattern similar to a soccer ball. Just as they land, deemed the ball turns into a devastating fighting cyborg. Scientists, meanwhile, finds out that the cause of the demise of the ancient lunar culture was the action of a special kind of robotic alien, half-machines and half-dead bodies, who were in their former mission used. Both astronauts are sent to complete the research on the Moon. Here, however, they find already the whole hodru angry metal monsters, preparing for earth's invasion...
