Lovely Molly

Eduardo Sánchez, along with Dan Myrickem years ago redefined the horror genre of the film the Blair Witch project [1999], in which he proved that you can conjure up the scariest atmosphere even without using digital tricks and hectoliters of artificial blood. In the case of the Adorable Molly is driving this method to perfection. In a combination of classic mizanscény and documentary aesthetics of amateur video creates a vivid portrait of a lonely woman facing the fear of the darkness and of his own obsession. Newlyweds Tim (Johnny Lewis - Missed call [2008], Aliens vs. Predator 2 [2007]) and Molly (Gretchen Lodge) is moving into the old house of molly's parents. With her husband still on the road Molly is forced to spend most evenings alone, only occasionally makes her the company of an older sister, or a glass of good wine. The initial idyll but begins to change in a claustrophobic fight for survival after Molly discovers that it is not in the house alone. In the dark corners of the empty homestead is hiding something, what should have been long ago lost, phantoms of death and forgotten past, which at the same time reveal the darkest corners of Molly's disturbed psyche.
