Stepfather, The

Jerry Blake (Terry O'quinn - Amityville: Image of evil [1993], silver bullet [1985]) is a madman who is fascinated by the perfect family life – a beautiful suburban home, a large garden, an adoring wife and loving children... Jerry marries the caring Susan (Shelley Hack), with whom he moves to the suburbs of Seattle. He becomes the stepfather of Susan's sixteen - year-old daughter Stephanie (Jill Schoelen-the evil unknown [1993]). Here, however, Jerry's tenderness worries and does not hide his mistrust. In the end, with horror, they conclude that Jerry is probably the man who murdered his family last year, but nothing was proved to him. Her assumptions are confirmed, but no one believes her. And yet-there is Jim Ogilvie (Stephen Shellen), the brother of Jerry's murdered wife, who has the same suspicions. Loosely based on the true story of John list, who murdered his entire family in 1971.
