Witches of Eastwick, The

A very loose adaptation of the book of John Updikea, which is the story of three lonely women examines the relations between the two sexes. The image combines elements of bizarre comedy, horror and satire to stale the morale of the typical american small town, whose apparent grooming (just like in the movies D. Lynch) contrasts sharply with what at first glance is not visible. Above all, they are the Witches of Eastwick entertaining, oddechovým film, which is completely dominated by the riveting acting performance of Jack Nicholson, whose creations in the role of a repulsive irresistible emissary of hell grew into its own beyond the film. The Film was in 1988 nominated for Oscars for music and sound.
