Any attempts to get rid of it are futile, and so the expedition, which violates safety regulations, returns with a mysterious creature on the deck of the ship. The after a few hours it disappears, but then becomes something horrible. At the common dinner of a torn chest of a disabled man turns out to be an alien organism and lose to an unknown destination. Begins the struggle for survival, in which they are the members of the crew gradually liquidated, and against invaders from the universe in the end is just the Ripley.
