A newly widowed mother of four children is forced to go back to her rich parents. Her wedding was in despite of the father and so must keep their children. He decides to keep them in the attic of a sprawling family residence. The older Cathy, her brother Chris and the little twins, Carrie and Cory, I live alone on the soil and only rarely is visiting grandma, and even more rarely their mother.
