Besides, the character appeared as a guide through hell or the specter of nightmares and hallucinations in a number of other films of its creator. The incarnation of the devil as well as the previous parts of the series follows the hero's journey for the ideal companion, with which they sired offspring – is obsessed with his own superiority over ordinary people and espoused the idea of the continuity of blood, as a hereditary line beyond the death of the individual. This time, after forty years spent in the dungeon returns among the people, while the high age not moderate his thirst for the murdering, nor a pathological hatred for authority, especially to the church. The incarnation of the devil represents a unique cross section of primitive mysticism, christianity, gore and perversion, while in the spirit of the creation of another Latin american genius, Alejandro Jodorowsky, as a whole, represents a surreal initiation movie.
