Although the film is known as Bride of the Monster, the original and a more descriptive title was Bride of the Atom. This title referred to the horrors of the thirties from the Universal (namely, to the image of James Whale the bride of Frankenstein) and at the same time has accentuated the contemporary interest in the genre of modern science and atomic energy in particular. The theme of the mad scientist hidden in an abandoned mansion gives remember not only the Whaleovu the frankenstein series, but for example also on the film serial The Phantom Creeps, in which blouznivého dr.
